One version of the etymology of the name Vergi Village suggests that it comes from the marshland Virkes' family name, which has a history that dates back to the end of the 14th century. The Swedes referred to the village as "Wyrschen porten", which refers to the port of Viru, not Wirkes' port. There are stories dating back 1553 about the Wirkes village, which used to be part of the Neeruti manor and later, in 1860-1870, it was a part of the Vihula manor.

Time to change the restaurant industry!

It is difficult to follow us and our changes. We are just made different. We love talking about history and what we have done in two years. Our goal is to be a friendly place where you can stop by for a coffee or a romantic dinner if you'd like.
Most of our ingredients are from Estonia and we customize our menu according to our customers allergies and intolerances.
