Study Trip in Vergi Village

If Your Last Team Day Was in a regular Meeting Room, Try a Harbour Instead

Most team days look the same. A projector, a coffee machine, and the same meeting room everyone could find blindfolded. Vergi Harbour is a different story. The sea is right outside the door, the air smells of salt, and by the end of the day your team walks away with a shared meal and, more importantly, a shared story worth telling back at the office.

Wirkes' invites companies and teams to a day out in the heart of Lahemaa National Park, in a small harbour village where things happen for real, not on a slide.

Why Vergi?

Vergi isn't just a pretty lunch stop. It's a small harbour village where you get to see how a business actually runs in a rural, seasonal place, a puzzle every team is solving in its own way too. Seasonality is our own biggest challenge, so if this happens to catch the eye of a company looking for a good place to bring their team together, we certainly won't complain. A walk around the island, local stories, and an unhurried pace give everyone's head a proper break before it's back to business as usual.

How the Day Unfolds

  • 10:00 Gather at the harbour, welcome coffee or tea

  • 10:30 Walk around Vergi Island, stories of the people and history here

  • 12:00 Lunch at Wirkes' and the story of our house

  • 13:00 Optional activity of your choice

  • 15:30 Wrap-up together

Base price: €40 per person, including welcome coffee and tea, a guided walk, a two-course lunch, and dessert. Minimum group size: 10 guests.

Make the Day Your Own

This is where things get interesting. In the afternoon, pick one activity, or several, depending on what your team is actually in the mood for.

Sourdough Bread Workshop (€39/person, 1h) - Flour, water, salt, and starter, but really, it's a lesson in patience. Hands in the dough, phone in your pocket.

Fish Workshop (€55/person, 1h) - Local fish, a real knife, a real skill. Great for anyone who likes to leave with something they made themselves.

Sip & Snack (€50/person) - Seven wines, from sparkling to red, with snacks laid out on the table. A relaxed way to close out the day, especially if the evening isn't quite over yet.

Sea Kayaking with Reimann Retked (€45/person) - Paddles in hand, out onto open water. A good counterbalance to a morning full of storytelling.

Vergi SAR Sea Rescue Experience with Aasukalda VPK (€35/person, 1h) - See how a real rescue crew operates. Especially good for teams who value teamwork and clear roles under pressure.

RIB Boat, Jet Ski & Towable Tube (€50/person, 2h) - A dose of adrenaline in the middle of a workday. This is the part people will still be talking about weeks later.

Self-Rescue Course (€100/person, 4h) - More in-depth and hands-on, for a team that wants to take home more than just a good lunch.

This is meant for...

  • Teams who want a trip that actually brings people together, not just a change of scenery from one meeting room to another

  • Business owners and interest groups who want to see how a small company makes it work in a seasonal place

  • Strategy days, brainstorms, or kicking off a new project, when a change of scenery genuinely helps

  • School groups who want a close look at real working life and career paths (€35/person)

Create Experiences with Us!

A day in Vergi is part of something bigger. Wirkes' runs experiences in Lahemaa all year round, so if your team catches the bug and wants to come back, there's more than one way to do it:

  • Fish Workshop, cleaning and preparing local fish with real fisherman's know-how

  • Sourdough Bread Workshop, bread making from start to finish, slow and hands-on

  • Study Trip in Vergi, the very day described here, but just as good for a second visit with a different part of the team

A different experience every time, but the same sea, and the same family behind it all.
