Who We Are?
Wirkes’ is a family-run business led by Kelli Suigusaar and Lauri Loit – hostess and head chef. We are united by a passion for local food, nature, and genuine hospitality.
In our restaurant, forest meets sea – almost every dish is handmade from local ingredients. In our hotel, every room offers a sea view, and every guest is welcomed like an old friend. Everything we do is based on honesty, closeness to nature, and a desire to create a warm, personal experience – whether it’s a wedding, a summer lunch, or a quiet autumn seminar.
Our Story
When we first saw Vergi Harbor, it was clear that this could never be just a summer tavern. We wanted to create a place where food, people, art, and nature blend into one.
Over the years, Wirkes’ has become a destination for those who value simplicity, authentic flavors, and personal service. Our kitchen creates dishes inspired by the forests and sea of Lahemaa, complemented by the homely “mother-in-law’s dishes,” lovingly prepared by Lauri’s mother.

Our goal is to be an inspiring meeting place on Estonia’s northern coast – a place people return to for honest food, great company, and a sense of belonging.
We offer seasonal dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, highlighting the best of Estonian flavors in a contemporary way. With every visit, we aim to create a warm and personal experience where every detail – from food to service – tells the story of our surroundings and community.
